Wallington County Grammar School

Selective Eligibility Testing Day

As long as you have successfully registered for this test, you will be sent an email approximately one week before the test informing you of what test centre and what session you have been allocated to. Please print the email and provide your child with a copy to bring to the exam. This is needed on arrival. Do not try to show us the email on your phone.

General information for arrival and collection of candidates

  • Please ensure that the candidate is dropped off and collected at the time specified - checking whether your son has been allocated a morning or afternoon session.

  • Check the weather forecast and ensure you and your child are suitably dressed (you may need to be outside for a period of time, especially if you arrive before the gates are due to open)
  • Follow all instructions and requests from school representatives
  • Leave promptly once you have delivered your child/collected your child
  • Only one adult per candidate (no siblings if at all possible)

If travelling by car, please be advised that there is no parking on site (unless a Blue Badge holder has agreed prior to the SET that they can park on site) and we would ask that you park a short distance away from the school and walk the last few minutes to avoid congestion.

  • Please do not park in Manor Way or Derek Avenue.
  • Alternatively, use public transport to travel to our site.

  2. Two pencils (HB or B), a soft rubber, a pencil sharpener and a ruler in a clear plastic pencil case or transparent bag. Please ensure spare resources are brought to the test (so spare pencils, a spare pencil sharpener and a spare ruler).
  3. A fleece or jumper.
  4. If desired, water in a clear plastic sports cap bottle with the label removed (no fizzy drinks) and a snack for break time (NO NUTS due to the number of children who suffer from nut allergies).
